Living Will

Hi Everyone,

We discussed in one of the previous classes the topic of creatign a Living Will in the event we are still live but not able to speak for ourselves and needing to have others make important medical decisions for us. As discussed in class we were told that we could go online and obtain or print out the Five Wishes Living Will paper work. However, this afternoon I discovered that the Five wishes Living Will very small book let is sold at our Florida Gulf Coast University Bookstore and it is very inexpensive. The cost for students is $1.50. This is the best thing the bookstore could have ever done, because it something so important yet sold relatively cheap. Everyone should take advantage of this cheap opportunity.

  1. The discussion we had in class about Living Wills brought up some good points about why I should have one. But I almost always thought that making a Living Will was something I’ll do when I get like 50 years old. I didn’t see why it was a need for me to have one now. I now see the value of having a Living Will and think it’s great that FGCU bookstore has the Five Wishes Living Will at a good price. I definitely will stop by there to check that out.

  2. Before this class I never wouldn't imagined to make a living will, besides me being very young it never really crossed my mind. Now that we've gone in depth as to why it's important to have one, I am more than willing to make one. I now realize that no one can run away from death, it can come at any time, at any point of our life's. I think it's a good thing that our University has that to offer to us, it's less stress on us.

  3. I didn't know that the bookstore had the Five Wishes Living Will. I think that it is amazing that the school has that for the students to fill out. My parents have had living wills for may years now, but I haven't written mine yet. As the years go on I feel that it is important for everyone to have a living will. It helps your family know what you want if you are not close with them, or have not seen them in years. I moved away from home 5 years ago, and if anything were to happen to while I was in college my parents would have no clue as to what I want. So I will be writing my living will very soon.
